Dominion Energy is looking to fill a vacancy for Maintenance Operator Trainee in St. Paul, Virginia.

• Inspecting, operating and monitoring equipment used in the production of electricity.
• Performing daily routine operations.
• Isolating/tagging equipment for maintenance.
• Valve operations.
• Making entries into computer-based logbooks.
• Performing maintenance on major industrial equipment such as pumps, turbines, and power station mechanical equipment.
• Performing maintenance on batteries, motors, switch gear, motor-operated valves, and other power station electrical equipment.

The successful candidate will be entered into the Electrical Program of the Maintenance Operator Development Training.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to work around dust, grease, dirt, be exposed to weather conditions, loud noise, and machinery.
• Ability to work 12 hour rotating shift work that can include days, nights, and weekend.

• Industrial /commercial electrical experience is a plus. Journeyman craftsman experience; and/or Candidates who have power plant/power generation operational or maintenance experience.
• Candidates with a minimum of three year’s experience in operating and maintaining major industrial equipment such as pumps, motors, valves, turbines and electrical switch gear in an industrial environment (e.g. shipyard, military, manufacturing, or power station).

• Operating Machinery: up to 25%.
