Control Room Operator

Constellation Energy is seeking a Control Room Operator to monitor and operate power generation and distribution systems in a 24/7 environment. You will oversee SCADA and related control systems, respond to alarms, adjust equipment to balance load, and ensure safe, reliable delivery of electricity and natural gas. Responsibilities include logging operational data, following strict safety and compliance procedures, coordinating with field crews, and supporting incident response.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate SCADA and other control systems for power generation and distribution.
• Respond to alarms and abnormal conditions, taking timely corrective actions.
• Adjust equipment and system settings to balance load and maintain reliability.
• Log and analyze operational data, events, and system performance trends.
• Follow all safety, regulatory, and company compliance procedures.
• Coordinate with field crews, engineers, and dispatch to support safe operations.
• Support incident and emergency response, following established protocols.
• Participate in shift handovers and maintain clear, accurate communication.
• Assist with routine tests, system checks, and equipment start-up/shutdown.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
