We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Automation Maintenance Manager to lead and continuously improve electrical maintenance staff, systems, and processes. This role is critical in maximizing cement and aggregates production by enhancing power distribution, control systems reliability, and preventive maintenance strategies while driving capital improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a strong people leader with deep electrical engineering expertise and experience in heavy industrial or manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities- Lead initiatives to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of electrical and automation maintenance teams
- Promote and actively support a strong safety culture; ensure compliance with plant policies, safety, environmental, state, and federal regulations
- Manage electrical and instrumentation departments to improve reliability, productivity, and cost efficiency
- Develop and execute capital improvement projects to enhance power distribution and control system reliability
- Design and implement new control methodologies to improve production efficiency and equipment performance
- Support troubleshooting of electrical, instrumentation, and control system issues to minimize downtime
- Develop, manage, and control departmental budgets; provide input to plant capital and operating plans
- Lead staff development through training, mentoring, and succession planning
- Identify workforce training needs and ensure appropriate technical and safety training is implemented
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and group guidelines through audits, training, and monitoring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred)
- Minimum 5–10 years of electrical engineering experience
- Experience with high-voltage power systems in cement, mining, or heavy industrial environments strongly preferred
- Minimum 5 years of managerial or supervisory experience leading technical teams
- Experience working in unionized or represented labor environments preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
