ResponsibilitiesWork on directed energy system development for Navy clients, translating real‑world needs into technical specifications and guiding system development from concept through deployment. Apply systems engineering across the entire SDLC (concept, planning, requirements, analysis, design, integration, verification, transition, operations, obsolescence, disposal), participate in program integrated product teams, and drive proper SE processes to deliver customer‑focused engineering solutions.
Required Experience- At least 5 years of performing systems engineering for weapons systems.
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and MBSE tools for developing architectures, requirements, and interfaces.
- Experience in concept development, design, and development of system architecture, hardware, and software.
- Experience generating SE requirements for System Requirements Documents (SRDs), Subsystem Requirements Documents (SSRDs), and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
- Experience with risk management.
- Knowledge of configuration management, program protection or cybersecurity, system safety, and SE certification processes.
- Secret clearance required.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years of SE with U.S. Navy Surface Ships or directed energy systems.
- Experience conducting trouble report tracking, test and evaluation of system performance, and documenting test results.
- Experience using Cameo for MBSE.
- Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira, Zephyr, and Confluence.
- Experience with Navy Surface Ship weapons integration requirements.
- Experience with configuration management, program protection or cybersecurity, system safety, and certification.
- Knowledge of Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) techniques.
- Ability to support test and integration activities to verify and validate system against requirements.
- Master’s degree.
- Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) Certification.
Secret clearance required. Applicants selected will undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
CompensationSalary range: $61,900.00 to $ (annualized USD). Benefits include health, life, disability, financial, retirement, paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work‑life programs, and dependent care.
