Location: Forest

As a Test Technician at Raytheon, you will support engineering, quality control, production, calibration, laboratory and maintenance environments. You will work under the guidance of a cell lead to test, troubleshoot, repair, maintain and install a wide variety of electronic, electromechanical, mechanical, computer, laboratory and scientific systems and equipment.

What You Will Do
  • Lift, walk, and climb stairs or ladders at the test range(s).
  • Support processes, engineering, quality control, calibration, and maintenance tasks within laboratory and production/test environments.
  • Perform tests using electronic, electromechanical, mechanical, and computer systems, following established procedures and protocols.
  • Observe, analyze, and report test data accurately, supporting more senior technicians and engineers.
  • Utilize engineering and scientific drawings, manuals, and documentation to perform tasks, ensuring compliance with procedures.
  • Check work for correctness and adherence to guidelines, with support from more experienced team members.
  • Troubleshoot analog, digital electronic, and RF (Radio Frequency) circuits, isolating problems between test environments and units under test; escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Select appropriate test equipment and configure it based on detailed test procedures, under supervision.
  • Communicate technical issues by generating clear and detailed failure entries that align with test procedure requirements.
  • Interpret test data, such as plots, graphs, and tabulated parameters, to assess pass/fail conditions and determine when further analysis is necessary.
  • Continuously improve skills through on‑the‑job training and mentorship from senior technicians.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior technicians, guiding them in developing their technical skills, troubleshooting techniques, and independent problem‑solving abilities.
  • Maintain physical ability to lift equipment and work in various environments, at least 15 lbs.
Must Have
  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2‑year post‑high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience with electronic circuits and components.
  • Experience with RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes).
Preferred
  • Familiarity with Radio Frequency equipment such as radios, radar and Electronic Warfare systems (preferred but not required).
  • Data entry experience with and industry ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) such as PRISM, Oracle E‑Business, Microsoft Dynamics 365.
