Description
The Bridgewater Virginia electrical components production team has an opening for an Electrical Component Technologist. The electrical production team’s mission is to produce high quality electrical system components while supporting multiple customers.
Primary Responsibilities- Inspecting products for compliance with drawings
- Operating a laser wire marking machine
- Building complex wire harness assemblies and junction boxes
- Building and testing coax assemblies
- Installing electrical equipment and harness assemblies on aircraft and in facilities
- Working with electrical engineering and mechanical engineering teams to review drawings and provide production feedback
- 3 to 5 years of electrical harness and/or junction box fabrication.
- Strong electrical system troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and apply wiring diagrams.
- Ability to read and apply mechanical assembly drawings.
- Experience with proper application of wiring related tooling including contact crimpers, wire strippers and wire processing machinery.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate a computer for timekeeping and work tracking.
- Aircraft electrical systems training, military or civilian.
- Active IPC-620 certification
- Active J-Standard soldering certification
- 3 to 5 years of work in and around aircraft including facilities that have an active tool control and FOD control program.
- Proficient in the use of electrical test equipment including multimeters, milliohm meters, video cable test equipment and vector network analyzers.
- Experience operating laser wire marking equipment.
- Experience with quality control program implementation.
Pay Range $57,850.00 - $. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
