Ashburn, VA (in office Mon‑Thurs - Remote Fridays)

The Construction Estimator supports the department with developing cost estimates and cost budgets for new projects across a portfolio of fast‑paced construction/service projects, typically with emphasis in CSI Master Format Divs 23, 26 or 27. The role involves solutioning, pricing and proposal phases.

• Review and understand RFP/RFQ documents from customers and support the RFI process.
• Identify project risks and/or challenges as part of the solutioning process.
• Assist in generating rough order of magnitude and/or formal estimates for potential projects.
• Assist in proposal development.
• Maintain a well‑organized database of bid documents for reference upon award of contract.
• Identify additional revenue opportunities for CPG, as applicable.
• Coordinate with personnel from sales, engineering, preconstruction, execution, and finance teams.
• Collect quotes from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers pertaining to the task at hand.
• Review and assess cost estimates.
• Identify labor, material, costs, and time requirements by researching proposals, blueprints, and related documents.
• Prepare detailed cost estimate reports.
• Present complex and detailed reports to management.
• Comfortable with making site visits and documenting data for distribution to the CPG team.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years of construction estimating experience with specific knowledge of mission‑critical systems.
• 2+ years of data center experience related to batteries, UPS replacements and general maintenance in a mission‑critical environment.
• Electrical, Mechanical or Communications/LV estimating is a plus.
• Proficient in developing high‑level construction schedules utilizing tools such as P6 and MS Project.
• Ability to interpret contract terms, conditions, and exhibits as applicable to project requirements.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills.
• Demonstrated experience developing and justifying budgets.
• Ability to create and maintain processes for project documentation.
• Excellent communication skills with attention to detail and ability to manage internal and external meetings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite;
  On‑Screen Take Off or Bluebeam, Building Connected, Accubid or RS Means preferred.
• Willing and able to travel up 20% for local candidates within the VA, DC, MD area.
• Must be a US Citizen.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15–25 pounds at a time.
• May be required to walk around facility.
