Senior Safety Specialist

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, OSHA, and applicable regulatory safety requirements
• Support fire protection programs and ensure adherence to fire prevention and protection standards
• Conduct workplace safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Monitor and manage hazardous materials and chemical handling, storage, and transportation requirements
• Perform industrial hygiene sampling, monitoring, and surveys to identify and evaluate workplace exposures
• Investigate safety incidents, near misses, and hazardous conditions, and recommend corrective actions
• Develop and maintain safety procedures, reports, records, and compliance documentation
• Deliver safety training, presentations, and awareness programs to employees and contractors
• Provide technical guidance on occupational safety, health, fire protection, and environmental compliance matters
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, contractors, and management to support safety objectives and continuous improvement initiatives
• Promote a strong safety culture and support company safety performance goals

Required Qualification

• High School Diploma or equivalen
• Considerable experience in occupational safety, fire protection, industrial hygiene, hazardous materials management, or a related fiel
• Knowledge of federal and state safety regulations and OSHA requirement
• Knowledge of fire protection standards and fire prevention practice
• Experience with hazardous material and chemical management and transportation requirement
• Understanding of industrial hygiene sampling and surveying technique
• Strong verbal and written communication skill
• Effective public speaking and presentation skill
