Duties
Manages operations in the development of multidisciplinary scientific methodologies and procedures related to CASCOM engineering and facilities programs.
Serves as the CASCOM Engineer for all Military Construction (MILCON) Programs.
Manages engineer resource programs, including military construction, Sustainment Restoration and Modernization (SRM), classification, internal controls, historical reports, project management, audits, review and analysis, and various other actions.
Responsible for MILCON, BRAC and Re-stationing projects.
Participates in the construction execution of projects on CASCOM activities, develops construction requirements associated with DA base realignment and special studies.
Applies extensive knowledge of a wide variety of technical, professional and managerial Engineering concepts to the construction activities of the Command and individual installations.
Directs appropriate consolidation and evaluates operations performance and costs based on program schedules, comparative analysis and known field conditions which may result in fund obligation disparities.
Recommends technical plans, objectives and undertakings which will provide more effective use of resources (i.e., funds, facilities, equipment and expertise).
Reviews Master Plans for conformance with all technical and regulatory requirements and makes recommendations for the Commander's approval.
