Location: Osaka

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Validation Engineer to join our Japan Engineering team. You will be responsible for the bring-up and validation of advanced analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits. As a hands-on engineer, you will bridge the gap between design and production, ensuring our silicon meets all functional, electrical, and performance  addition, this role contributes to maintaining an effective validation lab environment by supporting lab operation, equipment control, documentation, and audit readiness.

What you will doLead the bench validation activity of silicon ICs during product development

Understand the product specification, chip architecture, and device behavior

Develop a detailed post-Si characterization plan and work closely with design, systems, and test teams to execute it Design and develop schematics and layout of validation boards

Create and automate bench setups to streamline characterization and validation

Perform system-level and parametric tests on the bench

Debug device- and setup-related issues and drive them to closure independently

Review and publish detailed result reports with different stakeholders in product development

Support lab operation, equipment control, documentation, and compliance with internal standards related to ESD, safety, and work procedures, contributing to the maintenance and continuous improvement of an effective validation lab environment

Serve as the focal point for lab-related topics during IATF audits and coordinate audit preparation, evidence collection, explanation, and follow-up actions with relevant stakeholders

What you will need Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field5+ years of experience in validation of silicon ICsExperience with power devices such as DC-DC converters, eFuses, etc. is a plus Hands-on experience with bench automation languages:
Python preferred, LabVIEW, and Test Stand Extensive  experience with laboratory bench equipment, automated bench setups, and generic embedded systems such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc.

Good understanding of PCB design for power products

Hands-on experience in design and layout of PCB hardware using KiCAD or Altium

Experience with statistical analysis tools such as Spotfire

Experience with lab operation, lab audit support, ESD control, equipment control, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, or other quality management systems is a plus Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrate open-mindedness and an eagerness to learn and think outside the boxBe passionate about new, innovative methods and technologies
