Engineer, Mechanical Engineer

Lane Enterprises Inc. seeks an on-site Engineer to support design, manufacturing, and performance of corrugated metal and plastic pipe, stormwater structures, and drainage systems for transportation and site development. You will apply civil and mechanical engineering principles to ensure structural integrity, hydraulic performance, and regulatory compliance. Partner closely with plant, quality, and sales teams to optimize designs for manufacturability, safety, and cost, provide technical support to customers and municipalities, and contribute to continuous improvement in a stable, safety-focused manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and support corrugated metal and plastic pipe, structures, and stormwater systems for transportation and site development projects.
• Apply engineering standards and calculations to ensure structural performance, hydraulics, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize designs for production, safety, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for internal teams, customers, and agencies.
• Support quality assurance, testing, and troubleshooting of product or field performance issues.
• Assist sales and customer service teams with technical support, submittals, and value-engineering options.
• Participate in continuous improvement, safety, and process-optimization initiatives within the plant.
• Coordinate with contractors, designers, and municipal clients to address project requirements and approvals.
