Location: King George
Duties
- You will be responsible for identifying critical threat and target initiatives to support Fleet and technology and research and development needs in this domain.
- You will lead the development of the Naval competency and technical authority for Threat Engineering.
- You will provide the authoritative and foundational threat models and descriptions to anchor much of NSWC Dahlgren Division's Science and Technology and Research and Development portfolio.
- You will oversee the execution of Threat Engineering work that supports the Science and Technology, Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation, and Acquisition efforts.
- You will lead the development of threat modeling solutions to allow Naval forces to develop/test with fully informed threat representation/information.

- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Interim clearance will not be granted. Candidates must already possess TS/SCI clearance.
- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 801, proficiency level Basic, the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the
Functional Area
and Tier assigned to the position, along with Continuous Learning (CL) points, are required within established time frames. - Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

TQ 1
- Demonstrated expert knowledge and hands-on experience in threat engineering and complex modeling and simulation efforts, with a proven ability to develop robust threat models, navigate substantial uncertainty, and ensure all model outputs are strictly fit for purpose.
TQ 2
- Demonstrated success in building high-performing teams, developing personnel, and forging strategic coalitions across agency and sub-agency levels to integrate threat modeling and engineering throughout intelligence, acquisition, and engineering pipelines.
