Position Summary
This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities such as conducting on-aircraft damage assessments, liaising with OEM engineering teams and working with FAA DERs to collect repair data. The position is intended to support maintenance on King Air, DeHavilland Dash 8, Boeing 737 and Gulfstream IV aircraft.
Key Responsibilities- Perform on-aircraft assessments of damage, make required measurements and analysis, prepare damage reports for processing
- Collaborate closely with aircraft maintenance, quality personnel to design proposed repairs
- Interface with OEM engineering departments and FAA DERs to obtain repair technical data and repair dispositions in a timely manner
- Adhere to FAA, customer and company regulations
- Other duties as assigned
- BSME, BSAE, BS Engineering or related technical field 0
-2 years’ experience, or 2 year AS degree with a minimum of 4 years’ experience and a demonstrated level of competency - 3D modeling experience
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Security Clearance
- 3+ years’ experience maintaining Boeing and/or Gulfstream airframes
- Solid Works 3D modeling experience
- Knowledge of FAA guidelines
- Ability to travel, less than 10%
- Proper work authorization documentation to work in the US
- 7 am – 4 pm; flexible based on business needs
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, measuring and operating office equipment
- Ability to view computer screens for extended periods, with close vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Frequently standing, walking, bending, or reaching within the office environment and on aircraft
- Ability to lift and move items up to approximately 10–20 pounds (e.g., files, office supplies)
- Ability to maintain focus and perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail
- Regularly works in office environment and around aircraft hangars
