Financial Manager, CFO
The Financial Systems Manager leads the development, implementation and administration of the company’s financial applications and financial modules within Workday Adaptive Insights ("Adaptive") and the ERP ("D365"). The Financial Systems Manager is a critical bridge between Finance and IT, responsible for establishing and maintaining a strong, collaborative bold dotted line relationship across both functions. This role sits within Finance but operates as a shared resource and trusted liaison for IT, ensuring connectedness, clarity, and mutual support.
The manager oversees all financial systems, leads digital transformation efforts, strengthens cross-functional alignment, and drives strategic improvements that enable Finance and IT to operate more effectively together.
- Product owner of Workday Adaptive Insights ("Adaptive") and product manager of all other financial systems.
- Understand the relationships between the three financial statements in the Adaptive financial planning model ("Agile FPM"), and be able to troubleshoot any issues.
- Lead system configuration, enhancements, upgrades, and optimization for Adaptive and partner with IT for D365.
- Manage relationships with system vendors and implementation partners for Adaptive.
- Oversee all finance-related operational systems including Accounting, FP&A, Corporate Planning, and Treasury Ops (including AR/AP, and Payroll).
- Understand system interconnectedness and how financial processes flow across platforms.
- Act as a Finance-aligned leader for digital modernization of financial systems.
- Drive strategy, prioritization, and execution for all financial technology initiatives.
- Use systems knowledge to identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and improved integration, including AI.
- Influence and educate the Finance team around the importance of automation and lead to support the digital transformation strategic vision.
- Partner with Finance leaders to redesign processes and implement system enhancements.
- Create and maintain system administration, documentation, workflows, and controls.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data across systems.
- Own financial reporting architecture and data flows between systems.
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools for Finance and leadership.
- Develop data warehouse and/or tools for storing financial data.
- Relationship-Building & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Build strong relationships across Accounting, Planning, Treasury, and IT teams.
- Maintain cultural connectedness by engaging regularly with IT and Finance teams.
- Actively monitor and strengthen relationships to support long-term collaboration.
- Actively assess work of Finance teams and introduce opportunities for automation.
- Work closely with the IT and Finance teams to design, develop, and maintain data models for reporting and analysis built.
- Education:
Bachelor's Degree, Master’s Degree preferred. - Education Major:
Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or related field. - Work Experience:
A minimum of 6-10 years of experience in the technology field supporting finance and accounting systems;
Workday / Adaptive Insights preferred. - Exceptional communication, interpersonal/relationship building, intuitive, problem solving, proactive, and leadership skills.

- Ability to lead and inspire others to accomplish objectives.
- Ability to lead and influence digital transformation to Finance and IT teams.
- Ability to exhibit candor and handle confrontation when situations arise.
- Awareness of and ability to comprehend policies and procedures, also to set guidelines and policy as local needs require.
- Ability to communicate in verbal and written form in a way other associates understand. Ability to communicate complex technical accounting issues to personnel outside of Finance.
- Constantly challenges system and controls for better utilization and accuracy.
- Accounting and Financial Basics; knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
- Understand Statement of Cash Flow, Balance Sheet, and Income Statement.
- Understand key financial metrics such as EBITDA and Operating Cash Flow.
- Able to assist users in resolving problems and answer questions with minimal supervision.
