The Assistant Director of Finance (ADF) is one of two fully cross‑trained, interchangeable senior staff level positions responsible for supporting the Director of Finance in managing all financial operations of a multi‑program human‑services agency with an employee population ~270. Programs Supported:
Area Agency on Aging (AAA), Public Transit, Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE).
- Financial Operations & Accounting A/R, A/P, payroll Oversight
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning
- Grants, Contracts & Funding Compliance
- Public Transit Financial Oversight
- Payroll & Benefits Oversight
- Audit, Compliance & Internal Controls
Required:
- - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- - 3–5+ years progressive accounting/finance experience
- - Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit/governmental fund accounting
- - Experience with grants management and multi‑fund accounting
- - Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- - Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- - High integrity and confidentiality
- - Strong communication and leadership skills
- - Supervisory experience
- - Experience in human services, healthcare, PACE, or public transit
- - Experience with federal and state grant compliance
