Regulatory Analyst

Required Skills & Experience
• A four-year degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration, required. Master's or Advanced degree preferred.
• 3-5 years or more of related work experience supporting financial, accounting and/or regulatory activities
• Work experience with a corporation in a capital-intensive industry preferred. Expert in excel- pivot tables, etc. Nice to Have Skills & Experience Experience creating financial modeling tool

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Regulatory Analyst to support one of our top utility clients. The pay rate is between $30-40/hr and the work authorization is not specified. Provide direct support to the CFO office to achieve organizational goals for the regulatory, rates, finance and accounting departments. This position will support cross-functional initiatives ensuring positive outcomes through complex strategy development and implementation.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
• Assist with the coordination and management of financial & operational model development
• Develop & maintain revenue requirement models
• Provide analysis of complex financial matters supporting cooperative financial decisions
• Support rate filings with the State Corporation Commission through analysis & review of key documentation
• Analyze revenue & cost of service requirements to ensure proper recovery through rates to promote continued growth & management of REC electric system
• Prepare & review Board level presentations
• Provide support in FERC, Operating Service Agreements (OSA's) and Financial Compliance
• Conduct financial analysis of projects to inform management of rate impacts to Member owners
• Utilize data analysis to identify efficiencies and cost savings opportunities for the cooperative
• Other duties as assigned to support organization initiatives
• Communicate results and advise best path forward on all financial matters
