Duties The primary purpose of this position is:
To serve as a command headquarters level senior action officer, applying Air Force military experience to plan, organize, and execute necessary policies, regulations, directives, programs, and procedures for the improvement and. maintenance of assigned major command force provisioning and contingency planning functions supporting designated combatant commands. DUTIES:
* plans, organizes, and oversees execution of programs and procedures for the improvement and maintenance of assigned major command force provisioning functions which support designated combatant commands.
* Oversees the support, maintenance, and operation of the ACC CAT facility
* Advocates, maintains, and manages the ACC Special Category (SPECAT) and ACC Global Power (GP) programs.
* Prepares and delivers oral presentations such as briefings, training sessions, consultations, and strategy sessions with other staff service functions and activities to secure cooperation, resolve controversial matters, and convey information relative to proposed changes in assigned program(s). * Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.

* May travel by military or commercial air to conferences, meetings, or other functions away from the duty site
* A Top Secret (TS) security clearance is mandatory to effectively perform the aspects of the job because most duties will be classified.
* This is a Key Position. Incumbents must be removed from their military recall status if alternatives for filling this position during an emergency are not available.
* This is a drug testing designated position. Employee is subject to random drug testing IAW AFI 44-107. Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions;
Management and Program Analysis Series, 0343. SPECIALIZED
EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes expert knowledge of a wide range of qualitative methods for the assessment and improvement of critical command plans and programs for participating in or conducting major operations such as joint force provisioning and deployment, ARC mobilization, joint MAJCOM exercises, Special Category (SPECAT) operations, or similar operations.
Knowledge of military command structure, missions, programs, and organizational relationships, the sequence and timing of key operational events and milestones, and methods of evaluating the effectiveness of planning actions as related to actual events. Knowledge of the various command entities involved in overall planning and execution of joint force provisioning and crisis operations. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
NOTE:
Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. KNOWLEDGE,
