Location: Amherst
Amherst County Government is seeking qualified Part-Time Dispatchers to join our Emergency Communications team. This position handles 911 and non-emergency calls and dispatches appropriate emergency response units.
Under general supervision, the dispatcher obtains accurate information, transmits it to responders, and uses NCIC/VCIN, EMD, and teletype systems to coordinate public safety operations. Required qualifications include a minimum of two years dispatching experience and Virginia DCJS
