Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, or a related field; two years of experience in providing professional level administrative, analytical and/or operational support in the criminal justice field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to read, walk or stand for several hours at a time; and must be able to differentiate shapes and colors on a monitor.

Working knowledge of Sheriff's Office policies and procedures and federal, state, and local laws, policies, and procedures.

Current valid driver's license and good driving record required. Based on the Virginia DMV point system, records must not reflect a total of six or more demerit points within the twenty-four months preceding their anticipated hire date, or one major violation of six demerit points within the preceding thirty-six months. Out-of-state driving records must be obtained by applicant and presented at time of interview.

Records must reflect at least three years of history and be dated within thirty days of interview date. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check (to include polygraph examination), and education/degree verification required.

This position is considered Critical Safety Sensitive and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing. The use of medical marijuana for this position is prohibited.

This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing of a more stringent criminal background check. Must be a US citizen or have been a lawful resident of the US for the past ten consecutive years.

PLEASE NOTE:
This is a part-time, daytime position that is responsible for the collection and dissemination of law enforcement data for use by staff of the Civil Process section.

The Administrative Analyst will access and evaluate upcoming evictions for potential officer safety related concerns. This Administrative Analyst position will be required to prepare a variety of statistical, analytical, and narrative reports, including crime information bulletins, crime summaries and officer safety information reports and other security documentation as needed. The position will be vital in establishing and maintaining relationships with other law enforcement agencies in exchange for pertinent information.

Performs other work as required.

This position is a part of an approved Career Development Plan (CDP) and offers career progression opportunities and salary incentives, as funding permits, based on performance, qualifications, and experience.

28 hours/week; varies Monday - Friday between 8:30 a.m.

- 5:00 p.m.
