Surgical Technologist​/Logistics Coordinator

Overview

Medworks is hiring for a Logistics Coordinator to support our regional surgical partners across the Tidewater region. This role can be filled by either:

• A Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) who is willing to take on logistics responsibilities, starting at $85,000 annually, or
• A Logistics Coordinator without CST certification, starting at $52,500 annually.

In this vital, fast-paced role, you'll coordinate the delivery and setup of surgical equipment, train hospital staff on its proper use, and support operating room teams with critical equipment knowledge. Whether you're loading equipment for transport, training clinical staff, or resolving a last-minute issue before a procedure, you'll be helping to ensure surgeries run smoothly and patients get the best possible care.

• Plan, deliver, and retrieve surgical equipment across the Tidewater region
• Set up, test, and verify equipment functionality at client locations
• Provide hands-on technical support and equipment training to surgical staff
• Track inventory movement and maintain accurate delivery and service logs
• Troubleshoot on-site equipment issues and escalate when necessary
• Assist with preventative maintenance and minor repairs
• Collaborate with Medworks' internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery
• Build strong, professional relationships with hospital teams and OR staff

• You live within ~40 miles of the Tidewater region
• You have strong organizational and time management skills
• You're dependable, solutions-oriented, and confident under pressure
• You're technically curious and eager to learn medical equipment operations
• You can lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work on your feet

• Healthcare or OR environments
• Technical support, field service, or logistics
• Customer-facing roles or training facilitation

If you hold CST certification and are willing to take on logistics responsibilities, you'll receive additional compensation and may assist more directly in OR support.

No prior medical experience is required for the Logistics Coordinator role. We provide full, hands-on training in Richmond, VA, and continued field support.
