Overnight Residential Support Specialist

New Point Life Services is seeking caring professionals to join our overnight residential team. As an overnight residential support specialist, you'll provide supervision, personal support, and overnight care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities while maintaining a calm, safe, and supportive home environment.

During overnight hours, you'll help ensure individuals remain safe, comfortable, and prepared for the day ahead.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing overnight supervision and support according to each individual support plan (ISP)
- Maintaining a safe, secure, and calm residential environment throughout the night
- Assisting with bedtime routines, personal care, and overnight support as needed
- Monitoring the health and well-being of individuals and responding appropriately to emergencies
- Administering medications following agency policies and physician orders
- Completing electronic documentation, progress notes, and required overnight reports
- Performing housekeeping duties, laundry, and household organization during scheduled downtime
- Preparing the home for morning routines when applicable
- Reporting any changes in health, behavior, or safety concerns to supervisors
- Promoting dignity, respect, and person-centered care in every interaction
Qualifications preferred:
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
- Active Virginia CNA, NA, or PCA certification
