Guided by our core values of Passion, Respect, and Excellence, the Lead CNA supports the nursing team by mentoring caregivers, promoting quality care, and helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations within the community.
Responsibilities for Lead CNA:
Assist with onboarding, training, and mentoring new caregivers.
Provide guidance and support to caregivers, answering questions and promoting quality care.
Monitor compliance with resident care plans and report concerns to the Nurse Supervisor or Director of Nursing.
Assist with staffing needs, including shift coverage and emergency backup when needed.
Perform daily rounds to ensure resident care is delivered according to care plans.
Promote teamwork by helping resolve caregiver concerns and serving as a liaison between staff and nursing leadership.
Assist with caregiver interviews, training compliance, and departmental meetings.
Support the enforcement of facility policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for Lead CNA:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Current, active CNA certification required.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in long-term care or a similar caregiving role.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver's license in good standing.
Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and support a collaborative team environment.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including lifting up to 25 pounds and providing direct resident care.
