This position provides mental health services to inmates including crisis intervention, screening, psychological report writing, psycho educational services, individual and group therapy, treatment planning, and release planning under the supervision and direction of the Psychologist/Mental Health Clinician Senior.
Screens, tracks, and monitors inmates with mental health services needs in intake, general population, and Restorative Housing.
Involved in the development, implementation and monitoring of mental health services, policies and programs at the facility.
May be involved with special units or programs.
Serves as a consultant to Administration, Security, Treatment and Community Corrections staff.
Provides in-service training.
Minimum Qualifications- Master’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related mental health field from an accredited institution
- Training and experience in the treatment of mental disorders
- Demonstrated ability to develop intervention and treatment plans
- Demonstrated ability to provide individual and group counseling/therapy
- Considerable working knowledge of psychopathology, diagnostic nomenclature, psychological theory and ethical practices
- Demonstrated ability to provide training
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Pay: $62,634.00 - $87,689.00 per year
