Medical Assistant
Location: Gordonsville
These roles provide direct patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses or other medical professionals. The position focuses on assisting patients with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, and reporting any changes in patient condition. The employee also maintains a safe and clean environment for patients.
Tasks include:
- Taking patient histories
- Measuring and monitoring vital signs
- Preparing patients for examinations
- Assisting with minor procedures
Provide direct patient care under RN or other medical professional supervision. Assist patients with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, maintain a safe environment, and report changes in patient condition.
QualificationsEducation:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
None required. Licensure:
American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Medical Assistant Certification through a recognized national professional association (AAMA, AMT, NAHP, ARMA, or NHA) required.
Physical RequirementsThe job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequent bending/stooping, and traveling. Ability to lift, push, or pull 20–50 lbs. Exposure to chemicals, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease possible.
CompensationPay range: $19.37 – $28.47 hourly. Compensation determined by qualifications, years of experience, and/or education.
