Up to 29 hours per week, shift may include evenings and weekends. - Pay Range
: $20.63 – $35 per hour - FLSA Status

Non‑exempt (hourly)
- Deliver didactic and practical skill sessions for EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic courses.
- Conform instruction with National EMS Education Standards and conduct cognitive, psychomotor, and effective assessments.
- Manage classroom activities related to EMS education.
- Travel may be required to provide instruction at multiple campuses.
- Assist the agency or state government during emergencies as needed.
- Current EMS certification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to use instructional technologies.
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
Must pass a criminal background screening.
- At least one year of Basic and Advanced Life Support level EMS teaching experience.
- AHA Instructor certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS).
- At least two years of advanced life support level experience as a pre‑hospital EMS provider.
- Associate’s Degree with demonstrated competency in teaching.
- Current National Registry Paramedic Certification.
- Current Virginia Office of EMS Education Coordinator certification.
- Telework options are subject to change based on business needs.
- Position is not a sensitive position.
- No state vehicle operation required.
