Overnight Residential Support Specialist

As an Overnight Residential Support Specialist, you will provide supervision, personal support, and overnight care to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities while maintaining a calm, safe, and supportive home environment. During overnight hours, you will help ensure individuals remain safe, comfortable, and prepared for the day ahead.
Responsibilities- Provide overnight supervision and support according to each Individual Support Plan (ISP)
- Maintain a safe, secure, and calm residential environment throughout the night
- Assist with bedtime routines, personal care, and overnight support as needed
- Monitor the health and well‑being of individuals and respond appropriately to emergencies
- Administer medications following agency policies and physician orders
- Complete electronic documentation, progress notes, and required overnight reports
- Perform housekeeping duties, laundry, and household organization during scheduled downtime
- Prepare the home for morning routines when applicable
- Report any changes in health, behavior, or safety concerns to supervisors
- Promote dignity, respect, and person‑centered care in every interaction
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
- Active Virginia CNA, NA, or PCA certification
- Reliable and punctual
- Calm under pressure
- Compassionate and patient
- Comfortable working independently overnight
- Organized and detail‑oriented
- Skilled with computers and electronic documentation
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical requirements of the position
