Job SummaryThe Health Information Management (HIM) Supervisor oversees the daily operations of assigned HIM service lines, including data capture, analysis, and transcription. This role ensures the accuracy and completion of electronic patient records, monitors productivity and quality metrics, and serves as the primary HIM representative at the client site. The Supervisor provides leadership, guidance, and support to staff while driving process improvements and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Compensation$52,100 – $78,150 annually, based on experience
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily HIM department operations, ensuring effective communication and workflow management
- Coach, mentor, and support staff to drive performance and professional growth
- Monitor productivity and quality metrics; report outcomes and implement improvements
- Analyze electronic patient records for accuracy, completion, and compliance
- Serve as the primary HIM representative for the client site
- Collaborate with physicians and coding teams to ensure timely completion of documentation
- Support development and implementation of HIM policies, procedures, and workflow enhancements
- Stay current with regulatory, industry, and market changes and apply updates as needed

Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator), RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician), or CRCR (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative)
Preferred:
- Experience with EPIC, One Content, or similar electronic medical records systems
- Training or leadership experience in HIM functions
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications
- Proficient keyboarding and data entry skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
