Sterile Processing Technician
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for maintaining infection control standards related to the decontamination and re‑processing of equipment and instruments used in patient care throughout the organization. The role ensures that all surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment are properly inventoried, decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, and distributed in a timely manner throughout the hospital.
Full‑time, second shift; available during days, evenings, and nights. Must work well with a team and independently with little supervision.
Responsibilities- Maintain infection control standards for decontamination and re‑processing of equipment and instruments.
- Ensure proper inventory, assembly, inspection, packaging, sterilization, storage, and distribution of surgical supplies.
- Adhere to shift schedules and participate in applicable shift differentials.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Specialty certification desired (HSPA), obtainable on the job.
- Experience in hospital/clinical setting preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency required.
- Strong attention to detail.
