Residential Technician - Part-time
Location:
Pleasantview, Cottage & Overlook Group Homes
Pay: $14.71 – $18.39 per hour. Offers may exceed the listed range for candidates with more than 10 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities- Supervise residents in all daily aspects of the residential program.
- Provide personal care and assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Coordinate daily schedules, duties, and activities of residents.
- Maintain complete, accurate and current program records.
- Prepare meals, grocery shop as needed, and clean up after meal preparation.
- Transport and accompany residents to medical appointments, recreational activities, shopping trips, and other scheduled activities.
- Complete reports as requested by the supervisor.
- Provide coverage for all shifts and hours as needed.
- Ensure the home and any program-owned equipment remain clean, sanitary, and in good working condition.
- Participate in all staff meetings as required.
- Perform essential duties such as grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning and other household responsibilities.
- Assist with medication administration, replenishment, repackaging, and documentation.
- Assist in training and orientation of new employees.
- Act as liaison with case managers and other care providers to promote program planning and quality of life for residents.
- Assist in handling verbally and physically aggressive individuals while complying with human rights regulations.
- Travel to another agency location as directed by the supervisor.
- Perform relevant job duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or proof of equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Ability to understand the special training needs of intellectually disabled individuals.
- Successful completion of training and practical demonstration in medication administration, medication repackaging, Medicaid Waiver training, CPR, First Aid, behavioral intervention training, etc.
- Capability to lift forty (40) pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work with and assist individuals with physical aggression and behavior issues.
- Current valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Willingness and ability to travel and use personal transportation for work purposes.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Effective problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- Computer skills for accessing emails, training, and record‑keeping/data‑collection software.
- Ability to organize own work and be self‑directed.
- Basic knowledge of community resources.
- Ability to perform general household upkeep and maintenance.
Work Schedule:
Part‑Time, up to 29 hours per week.
Travel:
Required to transport residents to and from agency programs, doctor's appointments, and community activities.
