New-River-Valley-Community-Services is seeking a Peer Recovery Specialist to provide person-centered wellness support and engage consumers in their recovery journey. The specialist will leverage their personal recovery experiences to inspire others and assist consumers in achieving their wellness goals.
The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, a diagnosed mental health or substance use disorder for two years, and at least one year in recovery. Certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist is mandatory.
