Duties
Oversee the scope of practice of nursing services within an ambulatory clinic; directs and educates staff about organizational policies and initiatives, The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, and the Defense Health Agency (DHA) policies.
Advise senior leadership on nursing matters; reviews, recommends, and implements changes; and collaborates with leadership in the development of regulations, procedures, new methods, and other matters.
Work with senior leaders to optimize unit performance, meet Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) measures, National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) recognition, ATC, and other organizational directed initiatives.
Support the commander's vision, organization mission, and organizational strategic themes for performance by aligning clinic initiatives and practices with Balanced Scorecard objectives.
Provide clinic nursing subject matter expertise and performs specialized direct patient nursing care. Assesses and manages extremely high dollar value medically controlled inventory by reviewing upcoming needs and establishing order schedules.
