Located at 10031 Nash Road, VCU Health Chesterfield Pavilion will be a four-story, approximately 100,000-square-foot ambulatory surgery center and medical office building, bringing comprehensive, patient‑centered outpatient care closer to residents in one of Virginia’s largest counties. Scheduled to open in April 2027, the state‑of‑the‑art facility will bring together surgical services, diagnostics, infusion therapy, pharmacy services, innovative care models, and more in a single, convenient location for Chesterfield residents.

• The monitoring, screening, and verification of all drug‑related orders for assurance of proper dosage, route, dosage form, and administration schedule and ensuring expedited preparation and dispensing of all dosage forms by pharmacy personnel.
• Resolve drug therapy problems, clarify and correct problematic drug orders.
• Designate pharmacy technicians to perform special assignments.
• Counsel patients regarding the safe and proper use of their medications.
• Resolve equipment and operational problems.

Current licensure with the Virginia State Board of Pharmacy required or obtained within the first 90 days of employment.

Current licensure with the Virginia State Board of Pharmacy.

Required: N/A

Preferred: Minimum of one (1) year of pharmacy practice experience in a similar setting; previous experience with state‑of‑the‑art drug distribution and clinical service methods and drug information sources and retrieval and communication methods.

Required: Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited academic program.

Preferred: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited academic program.

Must be available to work evenings, nights, and weekends.

Physical: Lifting 20-50 lbs.; prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, frequent bending, walking (distance), climbing (steps, ladder, other), reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive).

Mental/Sensory: Strong recall, reasoning, problem solving, hearing, speaking clearly, writing legibly, reading, logical thinking.

Emotional: Fast‑paced environment, steady pace, ability to handle multiple priorities, frequent and intense customer interactions, noisy environment, ability to adapt to frequent change.
