Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients, managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and performing various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical office setting and possess strong communication and organizational skills.

Duties
  • Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed
  • Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
  • Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
  • Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Assist with medical record management, including filing, scanning, and updating records
  • Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as necessary
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and provide support as needed
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as data entry, faxing, and filing
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role preferred
  • Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as eClinical

    Works, Dentrix, Epic, etc.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification or training in medical office administration is a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay:
From $17.00 per hour
