Adult Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinician will be responsible for providing services to individuals participating in services ponsibilities include mental health outpatient counseling (group and individual), SUD outpatient therapy (group and individual), conducting comprehensive needs assessments for mental health services, conducting multidimensional assessments for SUD services and other related clinical services. Prospective candidates will demonstrate ability to provide services that are person-centered and recovery oriented and will have the ability to work with all age ranges and those diagnosed with mental health, substance use disorders, and/or intellectual disabilities.
Hiring Range:
Master's: $41,616 - $62,424 annual salary. Licensed Eligible: $43,680 - $65,520annual salary. Licensed: $46,800 - $70,200 annual salary. (Offers for candidates with more than 20years of relevant experience may exceed the listed hiring range. Cumberland will only engage in compensation discussions and negotiations after an initial offer of employment is extended.)
Master's degree in a human services field and licensed in the State of Virginia or license-eligible in the state of Virginia. One year of clinical experience with individuals with mental illness or co-occurring disorders preferred. Knowledge of local resources, effective problem-solving skills, ability to effectively intervene in crisis/difficult situations, and willingness to work flexible hours.

About the OrganizationCMCSB was formed in 1972 as a Chapter 10 Community Services Board under Virginia law. CMCSB provides mental health, intellectual disabilities and substance abuse treatment services to the residents of Buchanan, Russell, and Tazewell Counties. At the present time, CMCSB operates over twenty locations, to include outpatient offices, mental health recovery programs, group homes and day support programs for intellectually disabled individuals, and a residential alcohol and drug treatment program.
In addition, CMCSB has several services that are provided directly in an individual's home or in a supported environment. CMCSB also provides a 24-hour crisis team to assist community agencies and individuals in crisis situations. CMCSB employs approximately 500 employees, which include full-time and part-time employees, as well as individuals receiving services who are employed to work in various day programs.
