Psychological Services Provider
General Definition and Conditions of WorkDoes related work as required. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Director of Special Education. This is an exempt position as defined by the Fair Labor Standards Act. Employees holding exempt positions often are required to follow a flexible work schedule, which may include working extended hours to meet specific job responsibilities. The contracted salary covers all hours worked.
Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; visual acuity is required for color perception, preparing and analyzing written or computer data, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities.
Primary FunctionTo provide psychological services to students in accordance with policies and regulations of the school board.

- Hold a certificate issued by the National School Psychology Certification Board.
- Have demonstrated the professional and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students, school personnel and members of the community.
Director of Special Education
Performance Responsibilities1. To provide school personnel with general knowledge regarding psychological services.
2. To assist in establishing and effecting procedural requirements for the assessment, eligibility and placement of students with disabilities.
4. To participate in legal appeals and hearings regarding students who have been evaluated psychologically or are in special education programs.
Twelve-month contract. Salary to be from the Administrative Salary Scale.
EvaluationPerformance on this job will be evaluated in accordance with the school board policy and administrative regulations for the evaluation of licensed personnel.
