Job Description SCOPEAn Ultrasonographer is responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a high degree of technical expertise, patient care, and collaboration with healthcare professionals. The Ultrasound Technologist must operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images and ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
FUNCTIONS- Graduate of an AMA accredited program in radiologic technology.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sonography
- Active ARRT certification in Radiography required
- Active Radiography certification through the LSTRBE required
- Active Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- Active BLS CPR required
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of diagnostic medical sonography equipment and procedures
