You will work onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Appomattox, Virginia. As a Physical Therapist, you will:

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, improving muscle function, and maximizing patient performance based on established care protocols.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) to ensure proper delivery of care treatments.
• Conduct detailed assessments of clients' physical abilities using diagnostic and functional tests to accurately evaluate their rehabilitation needs.
• Analyze client home environments and provide recommendations to enhance safety and independence during rehabilitation.
• Deliver prescribed physical therapy services in collaboration with referring physicians and in accordance with their treatment plans.
• Utilize diverse therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and physical modalities to effectively manage client conditions.
• Engage with clients and their families to teach them therapy techniques, device usage, and safety measures applicable to their home care routines.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Uphold the organization's standards of quality care and commitment to patient advocacy across all service lines.

To be successful in this position, you will need:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Current CPR certification, along with a valid driver's license and automobile insurance for any necessary travel for home assessments.
