ZoeRVA Health is an integrative therapy practice offering personalized counseling to help individuals improve their mood, relationships, and overall well-being. Our therapists and clinicians take a root-cause approach, working to uncover the underlying factors behind issues like anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and relational challenges.
The Senior Therapist is an experienced, licensed mental health professional who combines strong clinical expertise with emotional maturity and sound judgment. Reporting to Clinical Leadership, this role provides therapy to adults navigating life transitions, grief, relationships, aging, purpose, and personal growth. Working within an integrated care model, the Senior Therapist collaborates with psychiatry, primary care, and other clinical team members to support whole-person wellness.
Role allocation: 80% direct client care | 20% care team collaboration and administrative responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Assessment & Treatment Planning
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, including mental health history, risk factors, family dynamics, and cultural considerations.
- Develop accurate diagnoses and evidence-based treatment plans.
- Identify clinical priorities and adjust treatment based on client progress.
- Consult with physicians, clinical leadership, and interdisciplinary team members as appropriate.
- Clinical Care
- Provide individual therapy and monitor treatment outcomes.
- Support clients through life transitions, grief, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, and personal growth.
- Integrate values-based, spiritual, or meaning-centered approaches when aligned with client preferences.
- Recommend community resources and coordinate care with the broader healthcare team.
- Maintain continuity of care by responding to client needs and triaging communications in a timely manner.
- Documentation & Quality
- Complete clinical documentation and treatment records within established timelines.
- Ensure compliance with professional, ethical, regulatory, and organizational standards.
- Participate in peer review, quality improvement initiatives, staff education, and clinical program development.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Clinical Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Current Virginia license as a mental health professional.
- 10+ years of post-licensure clinical experience.
