Direct Support Professional; DSP ASL

Milne is seeking dedicated and compassionate professionals to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to provide essential support to individuals while contributing to a respectful, person-centered environment.
We are especially looking for candidates with experience communicating in American Sign Language (ASL) to support individuals who are Deaf or hard of hearing.

- Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing
- Support meal preparation and maintain a clean and organized living space
- Implement individualized care plans and maintain accurate documentation
- Monitor and report changes in health status or behavior
- Communicate effectively with individuals using American Sign Language (ASL) when needed
- Encourage and facilitate participation in social and community activities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment at all times
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical job duties
- Successful completion of a background screening
- Basic computer proficiency
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with or willingness to communicate using American Sign Language (ASL) is highly desired
- Experience in direct support or caregiving
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Experience supporting individuals who are Deaf or hard of hearing
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
