GRAN Recovery Center is a 28-day Intensive Residential Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ASAM 3.5) serving adults with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Treatment services focus on helping individuals achieve abstinence from substances, develop recovery skills, improve emotional regulation, strengthen relapse prevention strategies, and build a foundation for long-term recovery.
The Behavioral Health Clinical Team Lead provides leadership to a team of clinicians, counselors, and peer recovery coaches while maintaining a reduced caseload. This role is responsible for ensuring clinical excellence, fostering a therapeutic community environment, and supporting program performance related to engagement, documentation, treatment outcomes, and continuity of care.
The Behavioral Health Clinical Team Lead partners closely with the Program Manager to support staff development, strengthen the therapeutic milieu, promote evidence-based treatment practices, and ensure clients receive person-centered, recovery-oriented care.
Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Staff Development
- Provides day-to-day clinical leadership and supervision to assigned clinicians, counselors, and peer recovery coaches.
- Partners with the Program Manager to recruit, orient, train, coach, and develop staff.
- Supports a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Participates in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluation processes.
- Provides timely coaching and performance feedback to staff and assists with corrective action processes when necessary.
- If licensure permits, provides clinical supervision to associate-level clinicians.
Treatment Team & Clinical Oversight
- Facilitates and leads Treatment Team meetings to review client progress, discharge readiness, clinical concerns, and care coordination needs.
- Provides consultation regarding challenging clinical situations, behavior contracts, relapse concerns, treatment engagement issues, and discharge planning.
- Supports implementation of evidence-based treatment interventions and best practices for substance use and co-occurring disorders.
- Assists staff in developing individualized treatment strategies that promote engagement and successful outcomes.
Direct Clinical Services
- Maintains a clinical caseload and provides direct services including:
Individual counseling, Group counseling, family support sessions, care coordination, Crisis intervention - Conducts comprehensive assessments and reassessments as needed.
- Collaborates with clients to develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, strengths, needs, preferences, and recovery goals.
- Monitors progress toward treatment goals and modifies interventions as clinically indicated.
- Supports the development and maintenance of a positive therapeutic community.
- Ensures programming promotes recovery, accountability, healthy relationships, and personal responsibility.
- Assists with development and implementation of psycho educational groups, skills training, recovery-focused programming, and special clinical initiatives.
- Collaborates with residential staff and peer support staff to maintain consistency in program expectations and interventions.
Documentation, Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensures clinical documentation meets agency, payer, and regulatory standards.
- Reviews treatment plans, progress notes, assessments, discharge summaries, and other documentation for quality and compliance.
- Monitors Care Logic alerts and documentation requirements.
- Assists staff in improving documentation quality, timeliness, and clinical effectiveness.
