Overview

Pharmacy technicians are persons certified and skilled in the practical and mechanical aspects of the profession of pharmacy. The pharmacy technician position requires a high level of function in specific skills and knowledge. Increasing involvement of pharmacists with patient care activities has increased the need for trained and qualified pharmacy technicians who are able to assume the more technical roles in pharmacies to relieve the pharmacist of these functions.
