Resurge Rehab & Therapy is inviting an experienced and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dedicated team at our rehabilitation facility located in West McLean, Virginia. Work

Environment

As a Physical Therapist at Resurge, you will be working onsite in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in West McLean. The facility is equipped with modern therapeutic equipment and an array of resources designed to support therapeutic practices. Your typical work hours will be from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you to maintain a work-life balance while providing exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations and ongoing assessments to determine residents' mobility, pain levels, strength, and overall functional capabilities.
  • Develop, implement, and continually adapt individualized treatment plans that align with each resident's specific rehabilitation goals and physician recommendations.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapy sessions focusing on enhancing mobility, alleviating pain, and preventing further injury, using a range of modalities and therapeutic techniques.
  • Educate residents, their families, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and practices to ensure continuity of care and promote self-management strategies.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals, such as occupational therapists and wellness coordinators, to develop interdisciplinary care plans that address the comprehensive needs of residents.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all therapy sessions and patient interactions in compliance with Medicare and state regulatory guidelines.
  • Foster a patient-centered atmosphere that prioritizes respect, empathy, and dignity, contributing positively to the well-being of our senior population.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve a geriatric population within our rehabilitation facility. Our residents may be recovering from surgeries, managing chronic pain, or dealing with age-related mobility issues. Your expertise will be crucial in adapting therapeutic interventions that cater to the varied needs of older adults, focusing on enhancing their functional independence and overall wellness.

Qualifications
  • A current and valid physical therapist license in Virginia or eligibility for licensure.
  • A degree from an accredited physical therapy program (Doctor of Physical Therapy or equivalent).
  • CPR and BLS certification or a willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential for effective teamwork and collaboration.
  • The ability to interact compassionately and professionally with residents and their families.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of professional experience in physical therapy, preferably in a geriatric or long-term care setting.
  • Experience utilizing therapeutic modalities and adaptive equipment to enhance patient outcomes is a plus.
  • Prior involvement in interdisciplinary teamwork that includes collaboration with nursing and auxiliary healthcare staff is desirable.
Compensation and Benefits
