Locum Physician Assistant (PA) - Urgent Care in Glen Allen, VA

Shift: 12-hour shifts, 8AM – 8PM, 7 days/week operation, depending on patient flow
Hours/Week: 36 hours (3 shifts per week)

License/Certs: VA State License required; ACLS, BLS preferred
Experience:
Minimum 1-year urgent care/ER experience preferred
Pay & Benefits
Hourly Rate: $17.16/hour

What You’ll Do
Provide urgent outpatient care to a diverse patient population, from birth to old age
Perform procedures such as suturing, I&D, splinting, and joint reduction
Assist with minor burn management, skin lesion care, and foreign body removal
Manage airway support, nebulizer treatments, and initial emergency stabilization
Interpret diagnostics including X-rays, EKGs, and point-of-care tests
Document all patient interactions accurately in Epic EMR system
Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure patient care quality and continuity
What You Need
Required:
Current Physician Assistant license in Virginia
Minimum 1 year of recent urgent care or emergency department experience
Strong procedural skills (suturing, I&D, splinting, etc.)
Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume outpatient clinic
Preferred:
BLS/ACLS certification
Familiarity with Epic EMR system
