2+ years in urgent care or emergency medicine

What You’ll Do

Conduct urgent care assessments for pediatric to adult patients, including serious and minor injuries

Perform procedures such as suturing, incision & drainage, foreign body removal, splinting, and injury stabilization

Interpret X-rays and EKGs, and conduct point-of-care testing (rapid strep, flu, COVID-19, RSV, urinalysis)

Manage common urgent care conditions and provide patient education

Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care

Manage episodic higher-acuity cases and triage as needed

What You Need

Required:

Active Virginia Physician Assistant license

CPR certification (BLS)

At least 2 years of urgent care or ER experience

Strong procedural skills including suturing, I&D, orthopedic stabilization, and basic diagnostics

Preferred:

Experience with pediatric urgent care and complex cases

Ability to handle a high patient volume efficiently
