Experienced Caregiver/Companion – Gordonsville, VA (22942)$18.00 per Hour | Part-Time | 24/7 Office Support Seniors Helping Seniors is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced caregiver to provide companionship and in-home support to a senior gentleman in Gordonsville, Virginia.

We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible. The ideal caregiver will be mature, patient, professional, and comfortable building a dependable, long-term relationship with the client and his family.

Responsibilities Provide friendly companionship and conversation

Perform light housekeeping and help maintain a clean, comfortable home Provide transportation to medical appointments and other necessary outings

Run occasional errands as requested

Offer general supervision and support

Encourage the client’s independence, dignity, and quality of life Communicate professionally with the client, family, and office team

Qualifications

Previous professional or family caregiving experience is required

Compassionate, dependable, patient, and punctual

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance

Comfortable transporting the client to appointments

Must be a non-smoker

Must be comfortable working in a home with dogs

Must pass required background, driving record, and drug screeningsPCA or CNA certification is preferred but not required

Candidates without a PCA certification must be willing to complete the required PCA training within two weeks of hire. Access to the course will be provided.

Compensation and Benefits $18.00 per hour
