The Riverside Regional Jail is actively seeking a Grant funded Certified Peer Recovery Specialist to maintain management of addiction recovery program case files/documentation of case notes, maintain client database, assist with program development and planning, and coordinates with outside providers. Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse disorders; recovery process; basic principles related to health and wellness; ethics and boundaries; trauma and impact recovery processes;
and cultural sensitivity and practice. Experience with crisis intervention methods; peer services delivery; and networking with other local and community resources.
Education:
High School Diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency Diploma and a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist Certification from the Virginia Certification Board. At least one year of recovery is required.
Salary: $46,000 (3 Year Grant) – NO VRS BENEFITS
