Admissions Director – Greene Acres

Job Type: Full Time

We are seeking an experienced Admissions Director to lead and manage the admissions process for our skilled nursing facility. This role is essential to ensuring a smooth, timely, and positive transition for incoming residents while maintaining strong relationships with hospitals, referral partners, residents, and families.

What You'll Do
  • Manage the full admissions and preadmissions process, including referrals, assessments, insurance verification, and documentation
  • Serve as a key liaison with hospitals, physicians, case managers, and other referral sources
  • Coordinate closely with Central Intake and interdisciplinary teams to ensure smooth transitions into the facility
  • Communicate with residents and families to explain the admissions process, answer questions, and provide tours
  • Verify insurance coverage and authorizations (Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, private insurance)
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations
  • Maintain accurate referral and admissions records in CRM/EHR systems
  • Participate in marketing efforts, outreach initiatives, and community engagement
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow, customer experience, and admissions outcomes
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED required;
    Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare admissions, discharge planning, case management, or related customer facing healthcare roles
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and private insurance processes
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines
  • Professional, customer focused, and detail oriented
Schedule & Work Environment
  • Primarily indoor healthcare environment
  • Regular interaction with residents, families, and clinical staff
  • Occasional evenings or weekends may be required based on admissions needs
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform standard office and computer based work
