Executive Pastry ChefKalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking an Executive Pastry Chef. In this role, you will manage a large team, ensuring efficient production schedules, maintaining inventory and quality controls, and collaborating closely with culinary and hospitality teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience. With a focus on both creativity and operational excellence, this position demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, demanding setting.

—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll help create a memorable dining atmosphere through the creation of delicious pastries and confections, warm hospitality, and timeless charm.
Weekends, evenings, and holiday availability are required.
The anticipated hire date for this position is Spring 2026.
Key Responsibilities- Lead pastry operations for all outlets, banquets, and events.
- Manage, train, and support the growth of a talented pastry team of about 20 members.
- Control food and labor costs; oversee ordering and inventory.
- Ensure quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
- Maintain kitchen safety, sanitation, and compliance.
- Collaborate with culinary leadership to enhance the guest experience.
- 4 to 5+ years of experience in a high‑volume/fine dining/banquet/pastry production kitchen, ideally within a hotel or resort setting.
- Minimum of 3+ years of supervisory experience with organizing and scheduling employees to maximize efficiency.
- Extensive experience across multiple disciplines of pastry arts, including production, cake design, artisan breads, sugar artistry, and more.
- Advanced knowledge and hands‑on skills in chocolate work and decorative artistry are desired.
- Basic P&L knowledge.
- A degree in Pastry Arts is preferred.
- Spanish‑speaking ability is a plus, but not a requirement.
