Are you passionate about hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences? We’re looking for a Reservations Agent to join our dynamic team and contribute to creating memorable stays for our guests!
Farncombe has been privately owned by the same family for over 40 years. The estate has recently been transformed by a multi-million-pound investment. We now represent something unique in UK hospitality – a wholly integrated countryside estate led by three multi-award-winning boutique hotels:
Dormy House Hotel & Spa, Foxhill Manor and The Fish Hotel, along with Hillside Hangouts, our luxury self-catering cottages.
- As a Reservations Agent, you will play a key role in ensuring every guest receives outstanding service from the moment they book their stay.
- You’ll be the first point of contact for reservations and inquiries, helping to create a welcoming and professional environment for all guests.
- Your role will involve actively promoting our rooms, services, and facilities while ensuring every guest feels special and wants to return.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and a desire to learn and develop within the industry.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to handle demanding guests and provide exceptional service.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Proactive attitude with a knack for upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
- A team player who can collaborate effectively with other departments.
- A commitment to maintaining health and safety standards and contributing to a sustainable business.
- Anticipates guests’ every need and takes care of every detail from arrival to departure
- Works closely with our chefs, housekeeping, and front-of-house teams to deliver seamless five-star service
- Serves food, drinks, and fine wines with flair and confidence
- Offers concierge-style service — arranging plans, making reservations, and driving guests across the estate when needed
- Provides a genuine, personal touch that makes guests feel at home
- Experience working in a luxury or boutique hospitality setting
- Confident hosting guests with high expectations — always one step ahead
- Knowledge and appreciation of fine wines and exceptional food
- A natural communicator who is warm, adaptable, and calm under pressure
- Someone who takes pride in delivering truly personalised service
- A team player with an eye for detail and a love for creating memorable moments
- Reporting into the Reservations Manager
- Rate: £13:00 per hour
- 40 hours per week, over 5 days, across a mix of early, mid, and late shifts (including weekends)
- Shifts include, 8.30am – 5.00pm or 9.00am – 5.30pm
- Complimentary meals on duty
- Full UK driving licence required (you’ll assist guests using estate vehicles)
