Assistant Director of Housekeeping
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking an Assistant Director of Housekeeping. In this role, you'll oversee the supervision of all housekeeping staff, including laundry operations, and assist the Director of Housekeeping in managing overall departmental performance. You'll lead the housekeeping staff with positive leadership and contagious energy.

You'll play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming and pristine environment, directly enhancing the guest experience by ensuring every space reflects Kalahari Resort's high standards. You'll also support associates by fostering a well-organized, efficient, and positive work environment, empowering the team to deliver exceptional service.
Salary Range - $80k - $90k
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the housekeeping team, ensuring high cleanliness and service standards.
- Assist in scheduling, training, and evaluating housekeeping staff.
- Manage inventory levels for cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Support the Director of Housekeeping in budget management and operational planning.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance the guest experience.
- Manage common areas and assist in housekeeping-related responsibilities across all aspects of the resorts.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years in a housekeeping management position in a hotel/resort with 500+ rooms.
- Brings energy to the team through coaching, cheerleading, and hosting the daily standup.
- Previous supervisory experience in managing other leaders in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Professional maturity and filled with intrinsic motivation.
- Experience managing in-house laundry operations and large-scale housekeeping teams is ideal.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Property/Lodging Management Systems.
- Ability to process and analyze data from time/attendance and housekeeping management tools.
- Fluent in English;
Spanish proficiency is a plus. - Flexibility to work weekends, holidays or alternative shifts as needed.
- Prior use and knowledge of Versa system is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
